Guitar Classes
taught by Marcos Carmona
All levels are taught using a combination of flamenco tablature and the
recording of the lesson or parts thereof. Basic chord shapes, compas (rhythmic
forms), scales, beginning falsetas (melodic riffs), advanced compas, and
advanced falsetas are taught. Also basic flamenco guitar techniques such as
arpeggios, alzapua (thumb technique), rasqueados (strumming) and picado are
emphasized.
All lessons are private & by appointment. The rate is $50/hr.

Cajon Classes
taught by David Carmona
All levels are taught by percussionist extraordinaire, David Carmona
of Seattle's Carmona Flamenco. Studying the cajon
is valuble experience for dancers, guitarists, and singers to help
internalize Flamenco rhythms. Classes include work with posture,
technique, embellishment concepts, and various palos.
All lessons are private & by appointment. Occasional group workshops
